Kat Wong is a marketing operations leader with a passion for startups and a knack for connecting product and marketing. She is currently the Director of Marketing at Adro, a pre-seed fintech based in New York City that offers checking, savings, and credit cards for newcomers to the U.S. and international businesses.

Before joining Adro, Kat was the Director of Marketing at Perch, a Series A digital mortgage startup in Toronto. She brings over a decade of experience across marketing functions including project management, creative operations, email marketing and automation, UX writing, copywriting, and branding.

Kat began her career in advertising account management for Chevrolet, followed by roles in sports and entertainment with Hockey Canada and MLSE, supporting brands like the Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, and Toronto Maple Leafs. She later transitioned into fintech, joining theScore’s early social media team to cover sports highlights and viral moments. From there, she helped build and launch EQ Bank across Canada as the 13th employee on the digital bank’s founding team.

Outside of work, Kat volunteers with the Proptech Collective and enjoys attending fintech and startup events. Fun fact: she once owned the domain name of a Canadian bank.
