Meredith Fuchs is General Counsel of the financial technology firm Plaid, where she leads the Legal, Policy, Risk and Compliance functions. After serving as Deputy Director and General Counsel of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Fuchs served as Chief Regulatory Counsel and led the enterprise regulatory, financial services, and loss mitigation legal teams at Capital One. Fuchs maintains strong consumer finance and banking industry relationships and is relied upon by leaders to drive to well considered, strategic decisions. She has been a partner at a major Washington, D.C., law firm, Chief Investigative Counsel to a Congressional Committee, and a non-profit General Counsel. A litigator by background, Fuchs maintains expertise in banking and financial services law, consumer finance (including fair and responsible banking, loss mitigation, privacy and data security, and marketing practices), financial crime, payments, administrative procedure, and information/technology law.
